The Bugaloos Episode 15 Circus Time At Benita's

All right now here's one of my favorite episodes of The Bugaloos especially since it has to do with circuses. Elizabeth is at camp so I don't have to babysit her this summer (Don't worry I get paid pretty good)

Circus Time At Benita's starts with a sign plastered on a circus poster saying canceled. The Bugaloos appear and all seems glum, well basically Peter Platter remarks that Benita Bizarre paid the circus people not to come to town. This is when the The Bugaloos decide to make their own circus and we get a great shot of Benita coming as The Bugaloos are leaving with Sparky telling Peter Platter he's going to clobber her. Benita responds with a Oh you will huh? and sparky freaks and flees

The next scene shows Mr Magico showing very very cool props. As a kid who was enchanted with the Ringling Brothers and Barnum Baily at 10, I actually dig what they are doing. I.Q. plays with a sword *Don't try this at home kids* Also they decided what performers they will act out. I.Q. is a clown, Joy is the high wire act and Harmony will be the ringmaster. Mr Magico decides to do a hypnotist act and hires Sparky as his new assistant. What happened to his other assistants?

So now he hypnotizes Sparky into believing he is the bravest firefly. Sparky acts like a wild animal and knocks the lid from the trunk full of costume supplies. Anyway after I.Q. remarks how Benita Bizarre could see him now and Sparky flies off to fight Benita. the Bugaloos ask Mr Magico how to reverse him and Magico tells him if they just snap their fingers he would become normal again. The Bugaloos fly off and land on Benita's balcony watching Sparky push Benita to the ground and then snaps his fingers causing him to be confused and explaining how Magico hypnotizes him. He leaves with The Bugaloos and Benita plots to capture Magico.

Benita kidnaps Mr Magico and wants him to make her the greatest singer in the world Poor Magico tries to do her bidding but the hypnotism fails.Benita tries to zap Magico when The Bugaloos appear dressed in circus costumes and put on a show for her. Yeah I will admit I actually liked this episode because of the Bang gun. Anyways The Bugaloos save Magico, tie up Benita and her flunkies and then sing a new song that they are performing for the rock people who look like painted cut out cardboard.

Note the flat person behind is digging for gold ewww

I like Believe. It is a nice song and i also like how they are encouraging kids to believe in themselves

Overall, I don't know how to describe this episode since i haven't worked on this blog since Feburary. But I will close it as this never give up on your dreams, because one day if you believe in yourself you      can achieve too

Episode 5 The Love Bugaloos

LOL, Sorry for the late post, but I was busy typing an essay for school and babysitting Elizabeth at the same time. Anyways here's the next episode review the Love Bugaloos

Pretty much this episode starts with Peter Platter talking about his radio show gig with Gina Lola Wattage the next scene shows Sparky fanning over a poster of Gina, As he casually coos over the poster he realizes that he can never meet his idol, Poor Sparky I feel bad right now for him, Anyways The Bugaloos return home witnessing him walk into a boulder

Wondering what is up with Sparky, I.Q. discovers Sparky's secret love interest. Joy and the others discover that Sparky is in love with Gina,Harmony remarks that it's too bad that Sparky will never actually meet his crush in person,  But Joy breaks up the silence by hatching up a excellent plan inviting Gina to meet Sparky and getting the two together. After inquiring to the grapevine and bluebell about Gina's flight plans. Joy flies off to visit Gina and tells her all about Sparky.

Now the boys make Sparky look good looking and talk confidence in him. Gina arrives with Joy and the Bugaloos introduce her to a coward Sparky who faints in front of her after she tells him how handsome he is. Then they kiss which causes Sparky to have a blow out with his lightbulb Weird yes. Anyways Benita has Funky find out the time of the show,  Funky then goes out to retrieve Gina.

So then to top it off Sparky plays chicken and decides to skip Gina's concert that night, The Bugaloos try to talk him into showing up when Bluebell, *the annoying flower* and the grapevine inform Benita's plan with Funky on kidnapping Gina and that they are now in Lover's Lane. I mean it i hate the flower, she is nothing but sarcastic! Anyways Sparky quits playing chicken and starts to finally be a tough guy.

He kisses Gina which sparks his firefly fart and then The Bugaloos save the day by kicking Funky out and then they arrive at the club where Benita proceeded to arrive on stage but gets the boot by Courage and I.Q, Sparky kisses his girlfriend who gets knocked out and The Bugaloos sing a new song about friendship

The song was It's New To You

Episode Review: Over all my review was shit due to school and having reviewed and then Also I've been busy with school and all. Next episode: Circus Time At Benita's my favorite

Episode 4 Courage Come Home

Finally it's summer and I'm now out of school, Enjoy my new review

The show starts with the song Fly Away With Us, Honestly I don't understand why this song was added to episode 14, but whatever It's a cool and nice song! Anyways Joy I.Q. Harmony and Courage keep singing and flying until a storm approaches.

Joy I.Q. and Harmony skiddadle leaving Courage to get hit by lighting, I know this show is about friendship. But does Courage have any common sense what so ever?. Doesn't he know Lighting kills 100 people every year? The hell with it, Anyways Courage realizes his mistake and tries to fly out of it. but he falls out of the sky and lands on the ground knocked out cold. Basically here's a lesson, when a storm is outside don't stay out, go in and stay safe.

The Bugaloos are all worried when Courage doesn't return and leave Sparky to watch for him while the other Bugaloos go and search the sky

Meanwhile Benita Bizarre comes home from the beauty pallor and sees her flunkies laying around and gambling, Furious that they aren't doing anything she gives them the boot and then goes out and looks for someone else to take her flunkies place and as she is driving down the road, she spots one of the Bugaloo brats Courage lying on the road unconscious, Benita curiously gets out of her car and touches Courage's mussels and face. Courage wakes up and doesn't know what just happened.  Pretty thrilled that Courage has amnesia, Benita convinces him he his her nephew Melvin Bizarre and takes him home with her

The scene changes and we see The Bugaloos searching the sky for Courange and then we see Benita's 3 henchmen protesting out front with ridiculous signs like Life aint breeze when you don't got cheese and so on. So let me get this straight? instead of just looking for A REAL JOB, they are protesting this injustice???

Anyways Courage now Melvin is singing a short version of fly away with us and get's praised for doing the housework. He does look dishy if you know what i mean girls *wink* Then Melvin asks Benita why she doesn't wear wings and she tells him she had a wing job. LOL, are you serious?? Hehehe that was funny. Meanwhile The Bugaloos while searching for Courage find themselves almost get run over.

Courage smirks and calls the Bugaloos "stupid tourist" and reveals his new name as Melvin Bizarre Benita's favorite nephew. They tell him to come home and to quit playing games. Melvin just laughs and leaves them in the dust shocked.

Confused and puzzled I.Q. suspects Courage has amnesia and after visiting Benita's Jukebox and see the protesting flunkies. After they see this I.Q. and Harmony with Joy decide to help Benita with her servant problem and dress up as servants. I.Q. is a British butler named Fenmore, Harmony is a Italian chief named Luigi, maybe from Mario and Luigi. And Joy and a sexy french maid named Fifi and they had to give her a dogs name but who cares!!

\

So now Melvin is now strumming a guitar,( Not sure if this counts as a blooper but Benita's guitar changes from black to brown, Were there two guitars?) since Benita has decided to give her houseboy's jobs to Fifi, Fenmore and Luigi. IQ Harmony and Joy all appear interested in a song he's playing and start to sing along with him. Very interesting, especially since at the end of the song they pull off their disguises

Melvin recognizes The Bugaloos from the incident earlier and calls Benita. Benita strolls in discovers her houseworkers are phonies and then proceeds to make The Bugaloos do her chores for her

But Benita's flunkies ruin the vacuum cleaner and Courage regains his memory after the vacuums cleaner crashes into the turn table blows up and knocks him and Benita to the ground. As he and the other Bugaloos fly off, Benita's henchmen come in and discover Benita who has no idea who she is. Why didn't they just do an episode where the flunkies took advantage of her instead of Courage? Anyway now Funky Woofer and Tweeter tell Benita that she is their housekeeper/ And they proceed to dance while Benita does the housework

Phew the end of the episode, Well I hope you guys enjoy the review. Im beat, I need a mr pibb now, LOL

Bugaloos Episode 1- Firefly Light My Fire

Alright guys here is another episode review for everyone to enjoy! The first episode of the series, Firefly Light My Fire

The episode opens with Benita Bizarre in her limo with Funky Rat the rat chaffier driving. Anyways walking beside the road is a firefly who Benita's chaffier carelessly runs over and nearly injures. This is great, just great, Is it just me or should Benita be thrown in jail forever for nearly killing a firefly? Wouldn't the rat pull over and make sure they didn't hit anything? No they didn't! instead Benita tells Funky to hurry up and they leave the unconscious firefly lying on the ground.

The next scene shows the waking of the Bugaloos, Courage comes out of a tree house, Harmony comes out of a bamboo hut IQ pops out of an onion and then lastly the cute Joy comes forth out of a flower with all the other Bugaloos gathered around. Just then the flower sounds alarm telling The Bugaloos someone is in trouble! The grapevine proceeds to tell them that a firefly was hit by a speeding car and is in bad shape. The Bugaloos fly to the rescue. Finding the firefly unconscious they take him back to their place and wait for him to wake up before introducing themselves. The firefly introduces himself as Sparky and thanks the Bugaloos for rescuing him. When the Bugaloo boys decide to test his wings Sparky admits he's a coward who can't fly. Well they lift him up and let him go and he falls. Harmony exclaims He was right, he can't fly.

Next we see Peter Platter who is the disc Jockey for Kook Radio, Benita pops in on him and tells Peter about a hit record she is doing, for which she claims is gonna be a hit! Then she calls him a hunk and leaves we then see her put a coin in the jukebox and drives inside. She is met by  two robots played by Joy Campbell and Van Snowden who proudly show Benita a back up band called The Mopheads. The band sucks badly and Benita pretty much gives them the boot. Then she proceeds to club both robots.

The Bugaloos are now clustered around Sparky telling him he can't fly unless he tries. Sparky denies and tries to talk them out of it. He then reveals he is a scaredy cat afraid of the dark and exclaims that he is a born loser. Joy comforts Sparky by telling him that if he doesn't believe in himself he can't expect anyone else too. then Joy and the other Bugaloos start to sing The Senses Of Our World.
[*Note* The Bugaloos Bunch shot below

Benita's sound radar picks up their singing and Benita Funky and her two robots all drive to Tranquility Forest Benita introduces herself and tries to convince the male Bugs to join her group. But Joy and the boys refuse telling Benita she needs to concentrate on safe driving. Benita furious that the Bugs won't be a part of her band leaves and returns a few minutes later with a stereo zapper which looks like something Star Trek would have.

Anyways now zapped, The Bugaloos are transported to Benita's jukebox where tied up they are threatened by Benita who cackles with glee showing a poor tied Joy spinning around a turn table. The boys beg Benita to shut the contraption off. Benita agrees on the conduction that the boys perform with her along with Sparky. However the boys planned with Sparky to zap some do das (Sounds like Camptown Races) and Sparky succeeds freeing The Bugaloos and wrecking the studio. Benita is defeated and the Bugaloos fly away.

The Bugaloos praise Sparky and IQ gives some words of wisdom with this quote "It just goes to prove that you can do anything you want to as long as you've got confidence in yourself" Yep that is the a great encouragement I.Q. With some last minute encouragement Sparky tries to fly but crashes on the Lilly pad flower. Harmony remarks that Sparky doesn't need conference but that he needs a parachute. Then all of them fly off into the sun!

Alright Episode 1 completed, Next episode is going to be Our Home Is Our Hassle. Please let me know what everyone thinks too. The more likes my page gets the merrier. Like my fan page because I made it for all the fans on Facebook.

My Review: Although this is the first episode of the series, I really did enjoy that this was the pilot episode introducing both The Bugaloos and Martha Raye. I also liked Peter Platter and The song The Senses Of Our World. It is catchy. 10/10 rating

Bugaloos Episode 7 Lady You Don't Look 80

Ok so my little cousin Elizabeth's dvd wouldn't show all the episodes, It's broken so Circus Time At Benita's won't happen until I get another dvd, Probably by Christmas. Unfortunately the dvd is now out of print so Im going to relay on Youtube/other websites for a while

Special thanks to Bill Ung from The Bugaloos website for the screen shots and Sandy Johnson from Fly Away With Us for the episode guide

Lady You Don't Look 80 starts with I.Q. played by Big John McIndoe, Harmony played by Wayne Laryea and Courage played by Little John Philpott. The boys are having fun and throwing a ball around and Sparky tries to grab it, Joy played by the beautiful Caroline Ellis appears, ridicules them and warns them to be careful as any of them could get hurt. It is Joy's 16th birthday today and apparently Joy thinks the boys have forgotten her most important day of her life. The annoying flower and grapevine offer to give the boys hints on her birthday if in case they forgot but Joy won't have it. Just then Courage trips and falls. Courage turns out to have twisted his knee. But however by now Joy is pissed off and so the boys try to calm her down for being a "grumpy old granny

I can understand Joy's point though, Courage could have gotten really hurt by that fall and no one seamed to care at all. That actually reminds me where are the parents? Are they friends or siblings or what? It would make a lot more sense if they were all friends. Whatever

In Benita Bizarre's jukebox, Benita herself looks at her mirror and discovers a grey hair, which is really a feather, Hmm could Benita be a bird? It would make a whole lot of sense with the feather boas and all. Anyways she and Funky Rat the German rat chaffier go to town and get more beauty supplies. Benita anyways goes to her store just as the Bugaloo boys and Sparky come out of a bakery with a good looking cake. When Sparky asks how on earth will they add 80 candles on that cake, The boys mess with Sparky by telling him the candles will burn the forest down and they will get busted by Smokey the Bear.  The guys also joke that they are pushing 70 themselves, amusing poor Sparky.

The next scene shows Benita popping out of nowhere with the rat and believes the boys are really 70 and Joy is actually 80 herself, Ok just how stupid is Benita? Believing the Bugaloos have found the fountain of youth. The selfish woman throws out her beauty supplies and tells the chaffier to take her to Tranquility Forest.

The Bugaloos meanwhile return home to find Joy filling up buckets with water from the lilly pad pond, hmmm? It makes sense but where does the water come from? Anyway Sparky decides to help the elderly supposed Joy and tries to take the water buckets from her, Ok the joke has gone to far and Joy snaps grabbing both buckets and tries to leave. Sparky tries to help but all ends up pissing Joy off even more causing the boys to snicker in the background.

Benita arrives and demands the fountain of youth telling The Bugaloos she knows of their secret. When Harmony explains it was just a giggle and poke joke. Sparky realizes his friends tricked him and blabs out about the birthday cake. Joy gets all happy realizing that no one forgot her birthday. No Joy they were just pretending to forget. Benita doesn't believe them and sees the water buckets and starts drinking from the Lilly pond. How does Benita hold that much water?

At her Jukebox Funky empties the last water bucket and remarks all the water is gone. Benita thinks she's young so she goes up and looks in her magic mirror and realizes that she is not.  Deciding to get with The Bugaloos she and Funky kidnap Sparky and force the Bugaloos to hand over a youth potion or else Sparky goes to the big bug place in the sky (A reference to heaven). Fearing for Sparky I.Q. the genius makes a potion out of honey and water and takes it to Benita, When Courage and Harmony try to get Sparky Funky pops out of no where and points the zapper with Benita Bizarre explaining that if this is a trick Sparky gets it, she also is going to test the potion.

All the Bugaloos sit glumly with all their party decorations at their place thinking desperately of another plan. Harmony suggests that they make Benita think they are old and she is young with the potion. So Benita is surprised when The Bugaloos come into the jukebox dressed up like elderly Bugaloos, in fact they look more like old homeless people trying to get a job with that get up. ok, i laughed because Courage looks like a skinny Santa Claus, Harmony looks like Moses from The Ten Commandments, I.Q. looks like an old business man and Joy looks like that typical little old lady from across the street. Benita believes it and hastily agrees to release Sparky

Just as The elderly Bugs are leaving Sparky steps on Harmony's beard causing it to fall off. Caught red handed The Bugaloos then all awe at Benita telling her she looks like a teenager. Benita believes them until The bugs try to escape again. Just as Benita is about to zap them Harmony asks for some apple pie. They all fly in the sky causing Benita and her flunkies to zap each other. 'Thus the Bugaloos fly back to the forest and are seen singing older women to Joy at her birthday.

Phew, this was a tough episode. Once I get the hang of it I'll keep posting more reviews, Maybe by Christmas I'll do the circus episode.

Happy Birthday Elizabeth and I hope you enjoy this review, Love you lots xxx Josh
